Custom Orders

Often I am called upon to create custom pieces for my customers.  These pieces are tailor made for the wearer.  I have done the same with gifts for friends based on how I perceive them.  These pieces are not only a challenge, but a great deal of fun to create.  See a few samples of custom pieces I have done, and how they are pictured for approval.

The creation of custom pieces is a step by step process.  After receiving the completed questionnaire below, or after discussion with someone on their preferences, I begin by doing a little research on the symbolism of the colors, gemstones and other items in the piece.  The next step is to select the materials that will enhance the wearer's  personality while offsetting some stronger traits.  So, someone who is usually stressed out will find they have a stone that would bring them peace.  Someone who is shy will find something that will give them courage.  A creative person will find a stone to inspire that creativity.  Birthstones are often used for luck.

Then is is time to head for the workshop.  The selection of components is normally a simple process.  By this time, I have an idea of what I plan to use.  After laying out various designs on the bead board, pictures are taken and offered to the customer for comments and selection.  The piece is then completed and sent, along with a note regarding the completion of the piece.  As with everything I make, the item carries a guarantee that if the customer is dissatisfied with the completed item, they are able to return it for adjustments or a complete refund!
